December

By Jimmy Rankin and Patricia Conroy

Here in December,
Knee deep in snow and the north wind blowing again,
Makes me remember,
Like a well worn track, you keep on coming back like a small friend.

No one compares to you,
You’re coming on so cold but I can see right through,
I think you’re beautiful.

Every other one of them can come and go,
You’re my favorite work of art,
December.

You’re more than just winter,
Let me walk down your road,
Tell you all I’ve done since you’ve been gone.

Wish I could stay here,
January’s calling,
Tempting me with things yet to come,

Oh, no one compares to you.
Coming on so strong but I can see right through,
I think you’re beautiful.

Every other one of them can come and go,
You’re my favorite work of art,
December, December.

No one compares to you,
You’re coming on so cold but I can see right through,
I think you’re beautiful.

Every other one of them can come and go,
You’re my favorite work of art,
December.
