A trio of singer-songwriters with very distinct sounds top the nominees for the 2011 Music Nova Scotia Awards.
Released Tuesday, the list was topped by Jenn Grant, Jimmy Rankin and Carmen Townsend with five nods apiece. The three are also in the running for the audience-voted entertainer of the year award, along with singer-songwriter David Myles and Halifax hip-hop combo Three Sheet.
