Rankin at Mady

BARRIE – Jimmy Rankin plays The Mady Centre For The Performing Arts on Friday as part of the Inside the Music series.
Rankin grew up writing and playing music with his siblings. The Rankin Family is from Mabou, Cape Breton. In 2001 Rankin released his first solo album, Song Dog, and it produced his first hit on country radio, Followed Her Around, and earned him the CCMA award for roots artist of the year.
That record was followed by Handmade (2003), Edge of Day (2007), and his most recent release, Forget About The World. Tickets are available at insidethemusic.ca and The Mady Centre box office. Doors open at 7 p.m. and showtime is 8 p.m.
