(July XX, 2011) Legendary Canadian roots artist JIMMY RANKIN is back in Atlantic Canada with his dynamic live show that includes full-band performances with BLUE RODEO. Rankin”s fourth solo album Forget About The World was released on April 12, 2011 and includes the hit single “Here in My Heart” which features a guest performance on guitar by international Country superstar Keith Urban.
Fans across the Maritimes have a unique opportunity to pick up Rankin”s latest album and catalogue at approximately 150 Needs Convenience stores throughout Atlantic Canada. Rankin has been enjoying success with non-traditional retail, and surprising the retailers by visiting the stores and meeting with fans. “Fans are constantly telling me that it’s hard to find CDs in stores,” says Rankin. “So we thought, why not provide easy access, and what better way to do this than through Needs Convenience stores.”
Rankin recently wrapped up shooting the video for the single “I’m Just Saying” in Nova Scotia with award-winning documentary filmmaker and video director Jeth Weinrich (Royal Wood, Chantal Kreviazuk, 54-40, Jann Arden). Released this week, the single has already been enthusiastically embraced by national Country radio, predicting a fast ride up the charts.
