The Village of Chipman

Jimmy’s show in the village of Chipman, Alberta became a focal point for the community’s efforts to raise funds for the families devastated by the Slave Lake fires.

We remember the devastating effects of the Chipman fire in 1931, that wiped out most of our main street businesses.  We got through it as a community, and we’d like to help the people of Slave Lake do the same.

Tonight, Jimmy Rankin is playing at the National Hall in Chipman. We want to raise $20,000 at the concert for the Town of Slave Lake: thanks to a very generous offer from Al Carter of Aldon Motors, he will match every dollar raised at the concert.

All donations will go to the Salvation Army specifically for residents of Slave Lake.

For comments, Al Carter can be reached at 780 895 2565.
