Hope you all had a great summer. I’ve been busy writing and rehearsing songs for my new album that I’m recording this fall with producer, Bill Bell. Bill’s produced my last two records and is now musical director for Jason Mraz – quite simply he’s just one awesome dude. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the recording process unfolds – it’s always one huge, exciting adventure. I’ll send photos and hopefully some videos of our progress.
So, now I’m packing to go to Edmonton for the Canadian Country Music Awards where we’re doing a tribute honouring the incomparable Rita MacNeil, a genuine person, kind friend and Canadian icon who will be greatly missed by all.
If I don’t see you in Edmonton this weekend, hopefully we’ll be seeing you in November and December when my Christmas tour goes across Canada!
